Competition nights commence on Friday 10th September 2010.
Competitions are held each Friday night from 6pm to 9pm during the Little Athletics Season.
What happens on competition nights?
Competition nights involve boys and girls of each age group from under 6 through to under 17’s competing in various track and field events.
The activities include:

The various events are varied from week to week and depend on the child’s age.
At each event the times or distances are recorded and handed to the competitor to record into their record book, this allows each competitor to keep track of improvements in time, distances etc...
All children that compete on a regular basis throughout the season earn points towards a trophy on presentation night. Regular attendance throughout the season is essential to qualify for a trophy. Trophies are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group and an attendance trophy is awarded for those which attend competition often enough.
Competition nights rely on volunteers such as parents, friends etc to help with setup and packing up of equipment, time keeping, starting of races, canteen etc.... Without these volunteers it would not be possible to run each of the competition nights. If you would like to be a volunteer please see your child’s age manager or one of the committee members.
